2Kings 13:20-21
1.Spiritual hunger:
Hunger can wane through any hardship, disappointment, or success. Many believers tend to lose their heart and hunger for God either through the careers of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, or the lust of other things which enter in.
- Remain more focused on the Lord than on success.
- Choose to build your life around pleasing God, not establishing a reputation for yourself.
- Remain a lifelong student.
- Continually seek more in God.
- Be a person of the word.
- These spiritual disciplines keep this brutal fire inside burning through life.
2.Do something now:
- Do not be driven by pressure.
- Give God something so that God can respond to your faith.
- Anything worth doing is worth doing now. If you have nothing in faith you have given God nothing in faith to work with.
- All will eceive specific direction from Him, so move out quickly.
- None of us are promised another day to live so make every day count for the Kingdom of God.
3.Do not despise your past:
- Never lose sight of the past and the good that you have learned.
- Be trained in faith, live sacrificially, have a practical approach to ministry, and a devotion to the Scriptures.
4.Prayer and fasting:
- The Lord had decided to attend Seymour's meetings because he had been invited)
- Prayer and fasting are the pathways to supernatural)
- Instead of attempting to attract people, attract the presence of the Lord.)
- Wait for His direction, provision, physical healing for people.
- Find a place of power and authority with God through devotion to prayer.
5.The necessity of power:
- Have dependency on the power of God more then you're preaching.
- Preaching and teaching to be done until the people repent and their faith in God was increased
- When people turn to Go d then there was the release of healing power in response.
- As a result of dependence on God's power, you find remarkable success in winning souls.
6.Staying in your calling:
- Learn not to abandon your calling for security or prominence.
- Alfred Garr, (who worked with William Seymour, at Azusa Street Revival), would start as many as six congregations through one campaign – so many were released into pastoral ministry because of this method.
7.Kingdom finances:
- Operate your ministry with high financial integrity.
- Operated with faith.
8.Judge nothing for the time:
- Prominence does not equal success in the Kingdom of God.
- Our ability to determine our best path through human assessments of success will almost always be shortsighted and may lead us a different way than the Lord would have us go.
9.People make the times:
- God is a respect of faith not persons. He moves in response to faith.
- "those were special times–God was just doing a special thing back then. Do we have to wait until God decides to move this way again?
- God desires to move this way in every generation. Times are always made special by the amazing faith and radical obedience of men and woman of God. The Kingdom of God came in response to their faith and obedience–they realise that God was willing in waiting to move on their behalf, and they acted on it.
- Touch these bones again and be revived.
- The Times are waiting for us to change them, there is no limitation to what can be accomplished in guard if only we would follow him in faith.
